DESCRIPTION:Confidence and Balance Camp – reconnect\, reset\, rebuild.\n\nStep away from routine and spend a purposeful weekend strengthening confidence\, balance and trust between you and your horse. This camp blends horsemanship with supportive rider coaching to help you feel safer\, more connected and genuinely enjoy riding. \nAcross the weekend\, Arron Stevenson will guide dedicated ground and ridden sessions focused on connection\, biomechanics\, clear communication and calm leadership. Everything is delivered in a positive\, encouraging way so you leave not only feeling more confident\, but with practical tools you can continue to use at home. \nAlongside the riding\, you will take time to reset your own wellbeing. The experience includes mindfulness and breathwork\, and both riders and horses benefit from massage and relaxation work delivered by Debbie Smith from The Healing Barn. Good food matters too\, so you will enjoy wholesome meals cooked on our outdoor grill to keep the atmosphere relaxed\, warm and social. Expect learning\, laughter and proper time to breathe. \nHorses can be stabled or in small grass paddocks weather permitting. Riders can camp in trailers or tents\, or choose one of our onsite log cabins. DESCRIPTION:This is a two day ground skills clinic that will teach you how to be a safe and confident leader on the ground and provide you with the preparations for how to achieve this in the saddle too. Levels 1 to 4 are all about putting a solid foundation on your horse so that you are ready to go anywhere and do anything together. In Level 1 you begin by learning a language so you can communicate with your horse. \n2 day course to include meals and snacks Saturday lunchtime through to Sunday lunchtime inclusive. \nHot showers and toilet facilities \nA stable with bedding for your horse or paddock if weather allows. \nAccommodation on site we do have a glamping pod at an extra cost that sleeps 2 people or you are welcome to sleep in the Lakehouse on camp bed or your own trailer or horsebox. \nYour level 1 clinic will consist of theory sessions\, simulations and practical sessions with your horse.\nTheory sessions. \nWe will look at basic horse behaviour and psychology\, helping you understand why horses (being prey animals) do the things they do\, how they learn and the body language they use to communicate with and then how us (predators) often think and respond to situations very differently to them\, meaning that we often struggle to have the harmonious relationships we dream of. Whether you are on this clinic to improve and deepen an already great partnership or to get help with challenging behaviour(s)\, learning to see things from the horses point of view and understanding ‘why’ they do what they do\, as well as building meaningful communication is vital. \nSimulations. \nThese will help you improve your ‘tool savvy’\, awareness of body language\, your ‘feel’ for the horse and your timing. \nPractical horse sessions. \nIn these sessions you will begin by learning how to have your horse respect your personal space when leading and handling\, giving you more control and keeping you much safer. as well as helping the horse feel safer too. You will then learn how to play the seven games (the language) with your horse\, this will improve your communication and partnership\, helping your horse gain confidence in themselves and in you as a leader as well as becoming happier\, more polite\, more responsive and more willing to please. As we learn the seven games you will also be learning how to better ‘read’ your horse and will learn to use the games to problem solve if needed and deal with any challenging behaviour that may occur both on the ground and/or ridden. \nBy the end of the 2 day clinic you will have covered everything in level 1 of the Parelli Program.  Most people then go away and practice for a week or two to solidify their learning before moving into Level 2 of the program. If you would like to have your Level 1 officially assessed and gain certification\, this can be done live with Rachael when ready or you can film you and your horse doing the necessary tasks and submit it to Parelli.
